The Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) is designed to introduce you to the basics of scuba diving. It allows you to experience the underwater world of Bonaire for the very first time. You can now enjoy Diver’s Paradise without the commitment of a full certification course.

What does a Discover Scuba Diving look like at Scuba Elite?
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program is an introduction to scuba diving on Bonaire. In just a few hours, you know what it feels like to scuba dive. Our Discover Scuba Diving is a no-rush experience. With only 2 to 4 participants per instructor, we make sure we have the full personal attention that is much needed when you’re scuba diving for the very first time.
Here’s what to expect:
eLearning: Begin with a 20-minute eLearning session at home covering dive theory, equipment, and essential skills. It all starts with the basics!
Theory Session: Get a thorough briefing at the dive shop on diving essentials, safety, and underwater communication. Learn about basic diving principles like equalization, breathing, and buoyancy control.
Equipment Overview: Familiarize yourself with your new scuba gear, including mask, fins, regulator, BCD, and tank. We will practice using the equipment to ensure comfort and confidence.
Shallow Water Practice: It’s now time to experience those initial breaths beneath the water's surface! Practice the fundamental scuba skills such as clearing your mask, using your regulator, and buoyancy control with one of our instructors.
Guided Dive: Under instructor supervision, you will undertake your first scuba dive ever! While guided and supported by one of our instructors, you will be exploring the shallow part of a dive site on Bonaire. (P.S. You will for sure like this part the most!)
Debriefing: After the dive, there's more than enough time to discuss your experience, ask questions, and see if you are excited to join the PADI Open Water Diver course.
